Sunday in Manila..hope you're getting a day off
, time to rest your spirit, enjoy the comfort of your home, be with the family
... if you must.. ok do the laundry- but keep that sacred space for your time with the Lord, it being His official day
Watta week that passed by, fatigue of all hues
threatening to cast its dark gloomy glow... by Friday twas a full-grown migraine, can't blame that on people or goings-on-- the weather here is crazy, the ground so hot, you feel like Pillsbury pancake waiting for the blueberry jam to be spread on you-- and then on tv they say , a killer typhoon is on its way -- ahhh ok, so first it must be the killer heat , before the killer typhoon...in the meantime, be gracious and ultra patient in your misery, hehe -- not quite succeeding
--------> here's a teensy-weensy confession, of course twasn't just the heat -- be truthful gurl
---Ok, so when things don't go our way, orrrr...when people "get" in the way--as tho' you thought
your way of doing things was the best and correct??c'mon!............when life refuses to be just that "simple walk in the park" and instead purposefully takes the meaner route: "a lot of abrupt turns, ravines, cliffs to your right and left, rough roads...and no signposts to warn you--ay yah yay
all that plus the sweltering heat will spell humongous head-ache . hu-hu-hu thank you, Jesus. On the other hand , when we suffer the insufferable, it provides the splendid opportunity to call on the LORD and really mean it.. to pray and make a conscious effort to establish that "connection" with God..to not be content with knowing He'll hear you anyway.. but to not stop until you know for sure He's at the other end of the line
. this is what we call insistent, persistent,"my-life- and-sanity-depends-on You , Lord" prayer...hahaha.Many things are happening, life has taken on many hues, I have flamingo reds...ultraviolets.. soft pinks and pale lemon yellows..greys and beiges threaten to spoil the day... concretely this means...dear friends and family members seriously ill, usual quota of life's challenges...my son discovering adult life--- first job (there's nothing quite like it, is there?) as a parent we want to be with them in all major experiences -- but we can't and we mustn't, they must learn on their own, and we parents have to be content with being their prayer warrior and the shoulder to cry on
when things don't turn out alright. On the community front, we must bear with the see-saw of serving the Lord..you have your win-win days, when all or most are brimming with fire, love and zeal... then you have the days when "whoaaa...where'd everybody go?"
...Those fifty and above getting more attuned to the reality that we are aging
, that time is pure gold and that we must not waste what grace God allows us to have--- pass on what you can, do it now and do it well is what God begs from us. The youth taking a deep breath before it's "Pasukan nahhh!!!!" mode...

the senior youth always taking a deep breath as they slug thru taking care of their babies and working full-time carreers (Kathleen texts :"Ate..help pray for us matindi ang sore eyes na kumapit sa ming lahat!" ...santissima santo ....I've learned a precious lesson these past 6 months...just be content with what and who is there at each given moment...that is what God allows..that is what God has meant to be..and that is the way God's grace will operate perfectly if we trust the Lord enough.
Friday's prayer meeting went well...the migraine not enough to prevent God's grace from shining thru...people pray for us...prayer lifts the fog... songs melt and wash away debris in our hearts...for the longest time..we have integrated modules inside the prayer meeting.
with the hope that our faith will be strengthened as we gain more knowledge about the Lord and His love for us..what can I say...?
Ignorance is the Real Killer.
di baleng mamatay pero to die becoz we didn't know the truth makes us like Dobol-Dead pork sold on the black market.

This is the verse that inspires us to make an effort to learn more about our Lord.
Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ...
At last Friday Bro. Art says with authority, we have so many modules, prayer meetings, seminars, holy masses...but all these will be a waste or will be futile if we donot share it with others and learn to apply these teachings in our daily life. Apply..apply..apply..kundi useless ang lahat!
Amen Bro. Art, Amen !

Meantime we must wait..wait on the Lord.

Pero cgue lang nang cgue..I believe in breakthroughs
... perhaps for some..for the time being, it's just a regular prayer meeting
and just one of those modules about the gospel or the prophets or whatever topic
... but one Shining Day... our soul will connect to God's Word..the teaching will come alive, the words jump at us with such a mighty force.. We can't remain Unaffected.Something Snaps. And that is the stronghold of satan and sin on us. God's Word finally frees us from the snare becoz we are given the grace of an open contrite heart, and we recieve the Word who is Jesus Christ joyously.a Glorious Day indeed!
So I choose to be happy
... to be content and to trust the Lord . One afternoon for the first time ever...Dilbert chose to play badminton with me on the street. That for me was light shining thru and a pure golden moment.Maybe it will happen again , maybe it will not.One thing is sure God loves us so and His eyes are on us every single moment , not to condemn us ..but to watch out for us..to save us! thanks be to God.Sunday...sweet Sunday!
Btw.... after visiting dear Sis.Celine who just checked out of the hospital for gall bladder trouble....Josh nags me about the summer outing -- just a swimmin' party of our youth at a friend's home. I am like: "Josh pass muna ako
... sakit ng ulo
3 days nah.."He won't have it, we pick up Cherie,Ging tags along...we reach the subdivision by taxi and the rest is history.
Kendi gets wet in the rain running after Quentin who has taken a No Fear stance where swimming is concerned....After an hour and a half...Mye:"Ano, 'day ligo na tao? Kendi:"Ate , pag di ako naligo, mag kakasakit ako." Sita:"Halika marami akong swimsuit dun."
Hmmmm....divine appointment in the offing?
From dreary grey to fuchsia pink
...what can I day? Only love can drive away a migraine attack.praise you Jesus!.
Enjoy the vids and pix.
Have a happy Sunday! love , Mye
