Ave Maria:-)
Standstill.. halt...forced leave.. red lights..call it what you wish but many times in our life, the normal flow ..our daily routine, our plans..agendas and just about everything we consider:"TO-DO-LIST"... goes..pppffffttt
Huwaat-duh?
Workaholics, doers, achievers, energetic people would prefer you scratch the blackboard with tough fingernails that could cause ear bleeding rather than suffer the inconvenience of DISRUPTION of any type.
Yet many have experienced these unpredictable disruptions
:
ever been here before... take a look...
1) The vacation planned months in advance won't push thru because the boss suddenly says you can't take a leave - chaos at the office, y'know
and they need you
, if you insist on pushing thru with the vacation you lose your job... ang lupit!
2) You're like bananas
with your staff .. you are used to running your business in perfect rhythm.. you are the Grand Conductor, people know their assignments..and they almost always deliver at the exact time ,the precise manner you have trained them to -- well ...
except on certain days.. the key workers are all sick at the same time (is there an epidemic?
).. the computer system crashes... you get a ticket from the traffic officer for a really stupid violation...arrgghhh!
3)you and your partner for life have planned things to the letter... it is so organized you have even determined when you'll have your baby, and if it were possible guarantee the gender of the baby, choose too the exact date baby will be born..hey for Feng Shui..just have the caesarian section in advance so that baby is born when the sun moon and stars are in perfect position -- surpise...! --- baby comes plural tense..yikes: It's twins!
and arrives at the worst possible time... "Babies ..please ..Didn't I tell you..not after 3 years??!" ..Babies donot cooperate
, you are faced with pediatric care onwards, hehe.
4)Even in ministry..preaching, healing..teaching... etc... we obediently follow the dictum.. plan well...be organized..for God is a God of order..not of disorder... to the point that we keep God out of our planning.. hehe... oh dear... looks like the ministry was not intended for God's purposes after all... imagine forgetting the Main Ingredient: God ALmighty Himself.
5)and why oh why oh why must things not work out in a 'perfect'(talaga?
) relationship..
why is it raining the month of December..rains on Christmas? well... it snows in other countries so why suffer a fit?
... why must we get sick just when things are going on so well.. this is not the right time to get sick GOD..I'm peaking! we yell loudly with that overused bratty, melodramatic tone... hahaha.. looks like God isn't even listening .. or is probably bored with our negative reactions.
God has better things to do than to listen to our litany of complaints, accusations and pure pettiness.
So what's with this disruption?
CAN IT BE any GOOD? Why is it happening to us..why now...? why are we in this unpleasant situation with a host of unpleasant characters, har, har, har ...
why is God ruining a good thing... why won't He let us be
now you're really warming up, hala cgue..tiraaa
... why this and and that.. JUST A THREATENING Why.....
????Lord.
Life without disruptions.. life that goes on and on at the phase and manner we like and are accustomed to..will ultimately bore us to death..literally and figuratively. Life with no intersections... no changes... no forks that make us stop, think and choose which way to go.. would be not a life at all... Life as God gives it to us vibrates and explodes in all its colors, if life was a perennial red, we'd be misfits slugging at each other.. God gives us so many gifts, talents and blessings -- a wisdom and inner strength donkeys will never have
--- and these will not be developed nor harnessed to perfection unless we go thru our share of challenges, hardships yes..sufferings and discomfort in all its shades... unless our life gets disrupted.
Created in God's image and likeness we are not offered a robotic life.
Instead like Jesus Son of God, Himself God we are allowed to choose life or death.
For Jesus.. the Ultimate Red Light in His life was the cross.. it was not something to look forward to.. it was suffering beyond words.. yet Jesus welcomed and accepted this Divine Intersection , because this was the crossroad
where satan would suffer defeat at the hands of our Saviour... this was the crossroad where Jesus made us winners!
Our red lights can be simple, not the type that can sway major issues in life... maybe it's just a train or bus we missed... maybe we forgot our wallet and we are already at the cashier with loads of stuff -- and suddenly we can't pay.. this experience could either be a mild occurrence or an occasion where the Lord is trying to teach us something ( probably to be more prudent in shopping
).
Maybe the Prince Charming we thought we'd ultimately marry wasn't that charming after all..and God spared us future agonies.Better to cut clean than suffer an open wound for life.
Maybe the times of dark weather.. the days we fall ill are not necessarily bad luck or misfortune... but can be a time of prayer and rest... a time to find our self and realize our worth in the Lord.
Who knows...?
Only we would know for our self..and this comes with a humble heart open to prayer and listening to God.
TYPING this quiet afternoon, after doing the days sked (trips to the embassy, the lab clinic..a friend's home to pray over her as she is due for liver operation...) yes indeed... this time with you and with God is my precious Red Light.. my intersection before I continue with the evening of this day in December.
Thank you for being companions in life.. may we encourage and pray for each other. God bless you and take care... oops watch out..there's a Red Light!
love and prayers.......................................te mye
Psalms 73:26 My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
One Red Light I am so grateful for A Smile on your face
