Oh
my goodness ...we pulled it off, and by "we" I mean our beloved
Filipino nation succeeded in giving Pope Francis not just a warm welcome
, but a welcome to hit Guiness Book of records. This joy tastes so
sweet almost like nectar from heaven, because for a long while we
haven't quite put our act together as a people. Our headlines whether it
is news about gov't graft and corruption, crime waves... other horrid
human offenses can run for honors with other nations for Most Scandalous
Achievements ever
..

And then we attempt to welcome the Holy Father...in these Terror-Ridden
times??, In Tagalog, we'd say "Aba'y nangangahas ang mga ito." the nerve of these Pinoys... But
wasn't the papal visit's theme on Mercy and Compassion? Because indeed
God poured His mercy and compassion on us so magnificently for a good
five days, Glory and praise to God..
So many 'witnesses' of Pope Francis' visit have vividly shared their stories - either they directly saw him, heard him, touched him - or just viewed from their tv sets - Never has that little machine conveyed such stirring images and life-changing messages. Have you noticed, how all these sharings are so personal: As tho' each one had A One-on One encounter with the Pope
- there was a healing moment, a specific message, a salvific encounter
for each soul - it was marvelous - only the Holy Spirit could create
this...where one man and a people encounter each other and then Christ
manifests His glorious living Presence in a thousand ways.
As for me I could have been situated in the farthest mountain of Bukidnon and still be blown away by the outpouring of divine love. Anyone who says it is mania or idolatry for a single person must be the saddest, most clueless person. It wasn't just about the Pope: it would not have been that powerful, that miraculous if we were just one grand robotic hallelujah chorus for Pope Francis: Rather, God used and sent us the Vicar of Christ, so that Pinoys would recieve a timely reminder of who we truly are as a people, of what our greatest treasure: namely- of what our Christian faith can accomplish...it was a recall of our inherent strengths, of virtues and spiritual gifts so deeply buried, forgotten even -- lost in the quagmire of acquired vanities, deeply rooted sins -- a pretty foolish attempt to beautify ourselves - when in fact Jesus has already made us so achingly beautiful - Hindi na kailangan tapalan ng falsehoods ang ating pagkatao :Tayo nga pala ay puno ng pananalig, puno ng pag-asa sa gitna ng dalamhati, puno lagi ng pag-ibig ng Diyos...patuloy na hinuhubog ng Banal na Espiritu sa pamamagitan ni Kristo.. how did we dare forget this?

baliw na kung baliw BUT FOR THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Dancing and Crying and Singing in the Rain

: Fools in the eyes of the world but in the eyes of God...we simply acted as his children exuding faith and expressing that natural inner joy only the Spirit of God can give..both Pope Francis and the people sharing that child-like wonder..so in touch with their Heavenly Father..
I believe the stories and reminiscing will never end. It was a divine gift to last us for all seasons. Thank you dear Pope Francis for this spiritual overhaul.. thank you for teaching us to Dance in the Rain... both rain and tears cleansing our souls. How profound.
May God always protect and anoint you with His power and love through Christ our Lord, with the Blessed Virgin Mary and saints in heaven interceding for you.Amen, amen and amen...Meantime enjoy this spiritual afterglow dear brothers and sisters in Christ. love and prayers , te mye
