It's a Date

I wish I could put into words the joy, consolation -- refreshment ..enlightenment , strengthening - sublime rest that happens..can happen when we attend holy mass -each Eucharistic celebration. This is not to say my poor soul knew this from the start - For what can I say? - 

It is grace when we finally realize the things of infinite worth in this world -- to some blessed souls  , they are graced to discover this early on in their life -- perhaps for a great many like my self --it takes a period of time -- as tho'scales from our eyes...blocks of dirt in our eardrums.. invisible curtains are removed from our minds..slowly but surely thru the years -- by God's tender mercies, we begin to understand what He gives us

and then especially in our heart..which is the battleground of all battlegrounds - this foolish, vain petty cold heart can sometimes take its sweet sweet time making a movement towards the things that truly matter -- the things that surpass any percieved treasure in this passing world. And it is not a thing --it is GOD Almighty.

Of the many gifts Jesus obtained for us when He came to save us -- the gift of His Presence in the Eucharist will remain beyond human understanding ..and most certainly -- we will never be able to fully define its unlimited Worth for mankind, and I guess for everything that exists. 

It is a joy to share our faith as a people -- let's stop bashing at our faults as Christians -- there must be enough to fill up all computers in the world -- but if only for one shining light which is our faith in the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist -- it is well worth mentioning - not for our self glorification -- but simply to exult with joy --the Catholic faith is so alive... not just kicking -- leaping , jumping for joy as the faithful gather to hear mass each day. We have many sorrows as a people but these are eclipsed by our knowledge of Christ's True Presence in the Eucharist.

 --- the love for the Holy mass is shared by countless Filipinos and of course other faithful in the world--- Pinoys go to the parishes, some regularly hear mass before going to office ... the corporate world blissfully forgets the corporate rules at noon mass  --i love seeing men, women in their uniforms or in business suits - before the Eucharist all men/women bow down before the True King  - .. at the the provinces or even in residential areas in metro mla....the tiny corners where kapilyas are hidden --here a divine light shines when Sunday mass is celebrated by a visiting priest.

It is amazing - the faith is contagious --- and in the long term, the venue  no longer  matters --  big space, small space --- hot and humid or fully airconditioned , concrete edifices or makeshift kapilyas... the priests will come in all shapes and sizes, God's wisdom and power moves thru each one of them and the faithful delight in His Word and are filled up.

 I guess each holy mass we attend only increases our hunger for the Lord. ..Needless to say ..all this attendance and partaking of the Bread of Life would be useless if it does not bear good fruit in our ordinary life. and we soon discover our life becomes extraordinary , because Christ's divine life now enlivens us. for lack of time I must end here..but I captured fotos of pictures in different churches where holy mass is celebrated regularly. Must be a stalker ...stalking Jesus ...stalking the Body of Christ in the Eucharistic celebration.recieving life from the communion of saints because this is what happens at each Eucharistic celebration.. and  because my life depends on it, plain and simple.

      The Power of the Mass is for you!  It is the sacrifice of sacrifices, because it is the sacrifice of God for US.  There is NO better activity that anyone in the entire world can do than attend a Mass in the state of grace, and receive Jesus in the Eucharist. Like the Blessed Virgin Mary, we become living tabernacles of God after Communion!  Through time and space, we connect with the original Last Supper (the Church does not re-sacrifice Jesus at each mass;  rather, each Mass is a re-creation of the original Mass).

You can have an intention for each Mass that you attend (resolution of a family matter, health problem, etc., and you can have intentions for the prayers of the faithful.  You can also have the Mass said for a particular intention by calling the Parish Secretary and having the Priest announce the intention at the Mass.  Why?  Because of the spiritual benefits that occur at the Mass.

In the "Our Father" prayer, we pray to "give us this day our DAILY bread", and the Catholic Church fulfills this with Daily Masses. This correlates exactly to Acts 2:46, where the Apostles met daily for the breaking of the bread. So take advantage of all of these spiritual blessings for YOU by attending as many daily Masses as possible.  When you meet Jesus face to face, the number of Masses you attended while alive will plead loudly for your salvation!

• First, to adore God as our Creator and Lord.
• Second, to thank God for His many favors.
• Third, to ask God to bestow His blessings on all men.
• Fourth, to satisfy the justice of God for the sins committed against Him.
